Launch Window

Steam lists a September 14, 2026 launch window for RIG Riot. That sentence is the whole storefront claim this wiki will repeat until the coming_soon flag moves. As of this wiki’s build day — the same calendar date Steam prints — the listing still showed coming_soon with that window attached. Treat the date as a planned window, not as a recap of a past event.

RIG Riot is a single-player third-person mech-action roguelike by Sage Boatman, built in Unreal Engine 5, sold as a Windows Steam title (app 3180340). Steam lists English interface, full audio, and subtitles. Features on the store row include full controller support, achievements, cloud saves, and Steam Deck Playable. Minimum specs on the store are Windows 10, an Intel Core i7-4790K, 8 GB RAM, a GeForce GTX 960, DirectX 12, and 10 GB of storage. Confirm the live row on system requirements and Steam Deck before you download.

How the window moved

Sage develops the game solo alongside a day job. Public posts described earlier windows that slipped. The March 19, 2026 onboarding update explained an April-to-May shift: time off work to finish remaining content, then a week lost to illness, with translation and Steam integration still on the list. Later months moved again. The July 14, 2026 demo update — Bipeds, Arena, and Launch Date — is the public post that pointed players at September.

This page does not invent extra dates, closed-beta calendars, or hour-by-hour unlocks. If Steam changes the printed window, the Steam store is the source, and this wiki will follow it.

Devlogs on YouTube @RIGRiot start in 2025. An open playtest followed. The demo can be downloaded on Steam (demo app 3992510) and itch.io. Those builds are the practical way to learn Armory, raids, and garage before the store flag moves. They are not a substitute for reading the listing: single-player, English, Windows.

What to prepare

Prepare the machine first. The itch zip around version 81 is about 2.8 GB; Steam’s store row asks for 10 GB free. If you plan to play on Deck, read the Steam Deck notes rather than assuming Playable means every setting is already tuned. Bind turbo boost, dash, and flight on the controls page so the raid tutorial pop-ups from the March 19 onboarding work are not a keyboard hunt.

Prepare the demo second. The Demo Guide covers Steam versus itch, the name-your-price disclaimer (support, not a pre-purchase), and what the slice actually teaches. Quad legs arrived around February 20, 2026. Biped legs, Arena, Bandit enemies, weapon customization, and hidden locked stages arrived July 14, 2026. If your client predates those drops, you are not looking at the same game the launch-window posts describe.

Prepare Discord third. The July 14 Steam news pointed people at Discord for a closed-beta call when Sage is ready for testers. Localization proofreading is organized in the rig-riot-localization channel, because the Steam listing is still English-only. Support mail listed on Steam is forgottenfoundry@gmail.com. Full URLs sit on Official Channels.

What the listing does not promise

Steam lists single-player. Do not plan a second cabinet, a second account, or a shared raid. Steam lists English. Do not expect a language pack on day one unless the store row changes. Steam lists Windows. Other platforms are not on that row.

The demo and the full listing can diverge. Locked stages stay hidden in the demo. Objective pools, enemy behavior, and weapon numbers have moved in public notes — Fire Demon gatling 210 to 60, Assassin load limit up, Watcher pack speed doubled, charged status depleting 10% energy. Read Patch Notes so you are not studying a February client and quoting July numbers.

Prepare this week

Open the Steam store and confirm the printed window and coming_soon flag yourself. Check system requirements. Install from the Demo Guide. Join Discord so a beta ping or localization call is not a surprise. Then run Getting Started in the Armory so the first raid after the flag moves is not your first raid ever.
